PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — Parliament has voted not to ratify President Michel Martelly's pick for prime minister.

The Chamber of Deputies voted against the designated Prime Minister 42 to 19 with 3 abstentions.

Daniel-Gerard Rouzier's documents, residency and tax history were all matters that could have contributed to the unfavorable vote.

The President is more than a month into his term and will be forced to nominate a new prime minister after consultations with the presidents of both houses of Parliament.
